Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, she brings compassion, credibility, and the power of her lived experiences to every space she enters.

As a three-time cancer patient, Desi has transformed her personal journey into a mission to educate, empower, and uplift individuals and communities impacted by cancer. Her work is rooted in honesty, resilience, and a deep understanding of the emotional, physical, and spiritual challenges that come with a diagnosis.

After building a successful career in corporate leadership and business ownership, grounded in her business studies at Towson Stratford Business School and Morgan State University, Desi retired in November 2023 and is now fully dedicating herself to advocacy, podcasting, speaking, and authorship. Through her podcast, she creates a platform for real conversations, sharing stories, resources, and encouragement that inspire healing and hope.

Desi is also a collaborative author of When Cancer Knocks At Your Door, a powerful book reminding readers that a cancer diagnosis does not define their worth or determine their future. Instead, it can reveal resilience, renewed purpose, and inner strength.
