Desi Waters is a cancer advocate, speaker, and collaborative author committed to helping patients and caregivers navigate cancer with clarity and hope. Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, she brings compassion, credibility, and her lived experiences.

As a three-time cancer patient, Desi has transformed her personal journey into a mission to educate, empower, and encourage individuals and communities impacted by cancer. Her work is grounded in honesty, resilience, and a deep understanding of the emotional, physical, and spiritual challenges that accompany a diagnosis.

Desi pursued business and higher education at Towson Stafford Business School and Morgan State University, laying the foundation for a successful career spanning corporate leadership and business ownership. After retiring in November 2023, she dedicated herself to advocacy, speaking, and authorship.

She is a collaborative author of When Cancer Knocks At Your Door, a powerful work that reminds readers that a cancer diagnosis, while daunting, does not define their worth or dictate the course of their lives. Instead, it can become an opportunity to discover resilience, renewed purpose, and inner strength that you never knew existed.
