Concentricity: The Blueprint for Student Support Services
“The system isn’t broken. It’s built to oppress. Center students, and schools become engines of liberation.”

American education isn’t broken. It’s working exactly as designed. In Concentricity: The Blueprint for Student Support Services, Dr. David L. Heiber exposes how bureaucracy was built to marginalize and offers a radical framework that centers students instead of compliance.

Grounded in the intellectual legacies of Molefi Kete Asante’s Afrocentricity and Na’im Akbar’s psychology of liberation, Heiber introduces the Concentricity Framework, a model that redefines schools as launchpads for equity and freedom. With Professional Student Advocates at the core, schools have documented higher grades, stronger engagement, and up to a 40 percent drop in disciplinary referrals for Black boys.

"We must stop using data as a hammer to punish and start using it as a flashlight to reveal opportunity."

Organized into six transformative parts, Concentricity moves readers from compliance to connection and from reform to liberation. Concentricity begins now!
